MANTA SEARCHING

Maldives is known to have a massive population of Manta rays in Maldives.  If you have never seen mantas in real life or swam with them, you’re in for a real treat! LaCabana Maldives offers our guests the chance to get up-close-and-personal with manta rays nearby Maamigili Island. If you wish to see more of them during the year, the time would be when the whale sharks visit the lagoons of Maldives, mostly seen near the Baa Atoll or Maamigili Island during the full moon. That would be around May of each year. This is when the big giants attract thousands of Manta rays.
